Sight words or tricky words are words that appear frequently when reading a paragraph or a book. Most of these words do not follow the rules of spelling. Therefore, kids have to memorize these words because decoding them is difficult. We have to teach primary kids sight words.
These kindergarten sight words cards are ideal for practicing coloring, writing, and tracing sight words.
Above is the list of 50 sight words that are covered in the PDF file. These are the first 50 words that I use to teach primary. These words appear very frequently while reading sentences.
Sight words are also known as high-frequency words since they appear often during reading. In these worksheets, the child will first color the sight word. Then the sight word is traced and then written in the block provided.
I have another similar cracking the code activity for CVC words and sentences which is ‘Write the secret sentence.’ It is an ideal pack to teach primary class sight words and sentences and also practice beginning sounds.
There are two sight words on each worksheet. Cut the worksheet from the center to use it.
